The Newman Hotel

Commissioned to develop a body of work for the penthouse suite at The Newman, a luxury boutique hotel in Fitzrovia, London.

Working in dialogue with the interior design studio Lind + Almond, the project responded to their contemporary interpretation of Swedish Grace. Drawing on the material palette, architectural details and atmosphere of the interiors, the commission evolved through a process of research, concept development and visual exploration.

Initial studies and proposals informed a series of paintings and sculptural wall works created specifically for the space. The final collection was developed as an integrated response to the character of the penthouse, contributing to the overall experience of the interior while retaining an independent artistic language.
