About
Working across painting, collage and sculptural forms, Anastasija Kulda explores materiality, composition and the relationship between surface and space.
Her practice combines layering, construction and intuitive mark-making, drawing on influences from abstraction and design. Through a process of material exploration and visual experimentation, her work balances structure and spontaneity, creating compositions that are both considered and open-ended.
Recent commissions include a body of work for the penthouse suite at The Newman, London, designed by Lind + Almond. The project was featured in Vogue and Wallpaper*.
Kulda holds an MA from Central Saint Martins and is based in the UK.
